The store offers an array of unique items, including paintings, prints, photos, sculptures, glasswork, clothing, handbags and jewelry. Most of the artwork is on consignment with 50 percent of the proceeds going to the artist and the remaining money to the boutique. Of the store’s profits, 10 percent go towards scholarships for MassArt students. The boutique was modeled after similar stores at other art schools, most notably RISD:Works at the Rhode Island School of Design. Although the idea of creating MassArt Made has been long in the making, the grand opening took place this past April.

Short of having to ‘train into’ the city, I’m looking forward to the website being up and running. As an artist who appreciates other’s creative bent, I’m looking forward to supporting this ‘one of a kind’ unique shop.
