Fair Trade Green Mountain Coffee

Fair trade Coffee Craze

Here in Boston we’re crazy about a lot of things; our sports teams, our driving’ and our accents’ but one thing that has gone unnoticed is how crazy we are for coffee. Did you know that Bostonians would rather cut Tom Brady’s hair than give up their daily cup of coffee? Green Mountain Coffee released a survey yielding these results in celebration of October’s Fair Trade Month.

The survey also found some startling facts about our coffee community. Boston coffee drinkers have on average 2.4 cups for men and 2.2 cups a day for women and that once we start it’s hard to stop! We also like to indulge in flavors rather than keeping our coffee simple and 1 in 3 Bostonians believe they need to have coffee daily!

The even crazier thing is that who knew choosing Green Mountain Coffee could make such an environmental difference. The Fair Trade Month is an effort to educate Boston coffee drinkers that drinking Green Mountain Coffee with the Fair Trade certification can impact a farmer’s quality of life. Drinking Fair Trade supports a higher quality of coffee, sustainable farming techniques and results in a higher quality of life for the farmer and their families. Green Mountain Coffee and its Fair Trade certification make changing the world as easy as sipping coffee!
