Similar to the Spanish tapas, “Spuntini” – (Small Snacks) highlights regional Italian dishes in small, bite-size portions meant to be had with a glass of wine and shared with friends. Join Chef/Owner Antonio Bettencourt of 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar at the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) on Thursday, November 11th, 2010 from 6:00PM-9:00PM for “Spuntini: Small Bites,” a crash course on making these small-bite delights.
Chef Bettencourt will teach students how to make dishes such as: Arborio rice fritters with mozzarella over tomato and basil confit, braised pork belly with cider agrodolce and spicy red cabbage salad, and polpette (southern Italian meatballs). By the end of this class students will know how to make an array of dishes that will satisfy everyone from that nitpicking Aunt, to that impossible-to-please cousin; and just in time for the holidays!
Every North End Native treasures the memory of walking through the North End on Sunday morning and smelling the aroma of Gravy wafting from every apartment. The smell of meatballs frying, ripe tomatoes stewing, onions sautéing is imbedded in our senses for all time.
Join Nebo Restaurant owners and sisters, Carla and Christine Pallotta, as they show how to prepare an Italian Sunday dinner from start to finish. Mangiare!!
