We took a mini trip around the world when choosing our featured restaurants for the issue, and came back to bring you the Italian version of fast food at Il Panino Express, casual French fare at the South End’s Gaslight and Post 390’s modern take on American tavern classics.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but Boston based chefs have been demanding celebrity status around here lately. We sat down to talk with nine talented individuals who each battled it out on TV reality programs such as Top Chef and Hell’s Kitchen to prove that Boston’s culinary scene can stand up to anywhere in the world, no problem. We also spoke to the king of reality TV cooking, Guy Fieri, who has taken over our televisions and won our hearts (and stomachs) after winning the Next Food Network Star.
With football season in full swing, we took a day trip to Foxborough’s
Patriot Place to see what all the hype was about. With over 17 restaurants, live musical entertainment, spas, shopping and so much more, by the time we were done exploring we forgot the reason we were there in the first place!
Fashion in fall is like the beach in summer; we wait all year long to enjoy it! This season, designers spared no expense on draping their models in furs, lace, leather and lots and lots of layers. We brought CUSP by Neiman Marcus’s gorgeous fall collection to the city streets to take it for a test drive.
Take as much time as you can to savor Boston’s most beautiful season, winter will be upon us before you know it.
